We used David Moving Company for our move from Baton Rouge to Shreveport. Love love loved the experience from beginning to end! Jennifer came out to our home to assess what would be moved and gave us a quote within a few days. After we received a quote and booked our moving date on the calendar, we were given ‘free pickings’ of various sized boxes. My husband had brought home an abundance of boxes on his first trip. I went back a handful of times for more (we didn’t realize how much stuff we had until we started packing!) The folks at David moving were always polite and even helped me put boxes in my car.
On moving day, Richard and Orlando arrived and were eager to get to work. They went from room to room and planned out how they were going to load the truck. They made very quick work of it. They started in the morning and ended a little bit after 1 PM. This may not be typical of most homes though. We didn’t have as much stuff as my in-laws and they said that for them it took all day. We had a three bedroom and my in-laws had a five bedroom home to provide some context.
Unpacking the truck the following day in Shreveport, the movers moved much more swiftly! Most everything was well preserved and wrapped from there packing expertise the day before.
I highly recommend these movers if you are in need of help moving lots of things and are pressed for time and manpower. We just had a baby and I’m over the moon happy that we paid for the services. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that is moving their home to another location!

Everyone we dealt with at David Moving was great. Jennifer came out and gave us a quote after seeing what we had. She also followed up with us to be sure we had what we needed and answered questions. My experience with David’s Movers was superb. The guys carefully wrapped all of my furniture to protect it from any damage. They were very polite and friendly and my whole family was impressed with their work. My storage room was piled to the ceiling and it was quite challenging to get my things out of there without damaging them and they did a fantastic job! Another perk with David’s Movers was that the price per hour they quoted me from the beginning was the price at the end of my move. There were no add ons like I have experienced with other movers in the past. My move took 5 hours and they multiplied that by the hourly rate and that was my total cost! I've moved cross-country 7 times...The last one was the most complicated.This crew worked together beautifully to organize the packing, storage, then more packing of the furniture items (including a grand piano), then more storage, and a car, then finally a big move to Oklahoma with multiple drop-offs- because my house is too small! An experience I will never forget. I sincerely thank them for handling all my items so carefully. It was a difficult time-Covid in full swing, and my mother had passed. Ya'll are great, but hopefully I'll never do this again!!

The moving crew were very careful with all my furniture and items during loading and unloading. Moving is hard but using David’s Moving made it stress free.

We used David’s Moving for a Baton Rouge/local move. The office staff were worked with our dates, responded to questions timely, and allowed use of previously used boxes when available.
On our moving days, Cedric and his crew were thoughtful, responsible and respectful. They worked hard through the heat. There were a couple of little things left on the truck and were returned the next day!
My only “negative” , the company does not accept credit cards and prefer personal checks. Who has checks these days?
